Patti Holland has lived in Acadiana for 35 years where she and her husband raised 2 sons. She graduated from Texas A & M University and is a retired wildlife biologist with a career at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Currently, she works part time for the Barataria Terrebonne Estuary Program wherein she is developing a bluebird nature trail. She also serves on the TECHE Project Council, a non-profit organization managing the nationally acclaimed Bayou Teche Paddle Trail. Patti is working to implement paddle trail amenities in 13 trail towns along 130 miles of Bayou Teche. She organizes the Shake Your Trail Feather Festival and “Trail Feathers Peddle & Paddle” ride held annually in October. As a TRAIL Board Member, Patti provides expertise in paddling, recreational trail development, and environmental education.
