Bike Across La Louisiane 2019

It’s a BALL! Ride from Festival Internationale de Louisiane (Lafayette) to New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (New Orleans). After Cycle Zydeco we will continue to roll with this trip to New Orleans. Crossing the Atchafalaya Basin then cruising along the Mississippi River utilizing as the MRT along the levee tops whenever possible. This inaugural year will be bare bones but fully supported. We will include several plantation tours along the way.

Route:

4 day covering 260 miles or very flat riding.

Day 1 (84 miles): Depart Lafayette at 10:00a from Wyndam Garden Lafayette 337-233-8120 1801 W. Pinhook Rd. You can leave earlier but we will not start running SAG support until 10:00a. Destination point is East Gate BBQ. There are 4 hotel options within 2 blocks we will announce the official hotel soon.

Day 2 (65 miles): Depart Morgan City for L’Auberge Casino & Hotel

Day 3 (75 miles): Depart L’Auberge Casino & Hotel. Tour Houma’s House

Day 4 (43 miles): Depart LaPlace get on the Mississippi River Trail and ride to Audubon Park then through the Garden District to Lafayette Park.

Shuttle SAG Support Plan

We will have plenty of shuttle capacity so you can ride along for various segments of the route. We will have designated SAG stations roughly around mile 30 then roughly every 20 miles there after. SAGs will have set times. After a stationary SAG wraps up then it will

Shuttle back to Lafayette

Shuttles back to Lafayette will start on Friday.

Shuttle #1 will carry the largest trailer and should include any bike rentals, bikes needing to be shipped or just gong back to Lafayette. Departing around 12p.
